The Maica connector lets Claude work with your Maica account through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Ask Claude to set up a voice agent, give it a knowledge base, call a list of people and tell you how the calls went. It works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile, and in Claude Code.
You need a Maica account. Sign up at maica24.com if you don't have one. Placing calls also needs call credits and a phone number that supports outbound calls.
What you can do
- Build voice agents from a plain-language description, with a voice, language and opening line. Prompts can contain
{{placeholders}}filled in per call. - Give agents knowledge by adding documents or importing a website.
- Run call campaigns: call a list of people from one of your numbers, with details for each person.
- Review calls: read transcripts, AI summaries, evaluations and the data your agent collected.
- Check your account: remaining credits and call usage.
Connect Maica
Claude (web, desktop and mobile)
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- Find Maica in the directory and choose Connect. If it isn't listed yet, choose Add custom connector, name it Maica and paste the server URL:
https://mcp.maica24.com/mcp- Sign in to Maica in the window that opens, then choose Allow.
- In a chat, make sure Maica is turned on in the tools menu, then ask for what you need.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first. Connectors you add on the web also appear in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps.
Claude Code
Add the server, then sign in from inside Claude Code:
Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http maica https://mcp.maica24.com/mcpStart Claude Code, run /mcp, select maica and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens the Maica sign-in page; once you allow access, Claude Code is connected. To remove it later, run claude mcp remove maica.
Other MCP clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth can connect using the same server URL. For scripts and agents that can't open a browser, you can send a Maica API key instead of signing in, as Authorization: Bearer <key> or x-api-key: <key>. To get an API key, email [email protected].
How sign-in works
When you connect, Claude opens a Maica sign-in page at mcp.maica24.com. If you're already signed in to Maica in that browser, choose Continue as; otherwise sign in with your Maica email and password. The page shows which app is asking for access before you allow it.
- Claude never sees your password. Maica creates a dedicated API key for the connection, named
MCP: <app name>, and Claude only receives short-lived tokens that stand for it. - Claude acts as you, with the same access to agents, numbers, calls and knowledge base documents you have in the Maica dashboard.
- Claude stays signed in for up to 90 days of inactivity, and at most for the year the API key is valid. After that you'll be asked to sign in again.
- To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude (or run
claude mcp remove maica). To also revoke the API key behind it, email [email protected].
Signed up with Google or another social login? Sign in at maica24.com in the same browser first, then use Continue as on the sign-in page.
Calls are real and billed
Calls placed through Claude are real phone calls, charged per minute from your call credits like any other Maica call. When you ask for calls, Claude places them as soon as the tool runs.
- By default, Claude asks for your approval before using tools that create, change or delete things, or that place calls. Check the agent, the caller number and every recipient before you approve.
- A batch can contain up to 25 recipients. Numbers must be in international format, for example
+447700900123. - If the same batch is submitted again within 15 minutes, Maica returns the earlier result instead of dialling again. Use a new campaign name to call the same people again on purpose.
- Only call people who have agreed to be contacted, and follow the calling rules in your country. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
Example prompts
Try asking Claude:
How many call credits do I have left, and how many call minutes did we use this month?
Create a voice agent called “Appointment Reminder” that calls patients to confirm their appointment on {{date}} at {{time}}. Use a warm British female voice and keep calls under two minutes.
Import https://example.com/faq into my knowledge base and attach it to the Appointment Reminder agent.
Show last week's calls for Appointment Reminder that failed or went unanswered, and summarise what went wrong.
Call +447700900123 (Ana, Tuesday 10:00) and +447700900456 (Raj, Tuesday 14:30) with Appointment Reminder from my UK number.
Claude finds the ids it needs by itself, for example listing your agents and phone numbers before placing calls.
Tools
Read tools only look things up. Write tools add something new. Destructive tools change or delete existing things, or place calls, so Claude asks before using them.

Your data
- When Claude uses a tool, Maica returns the result to Claude: for example agent settings, call summaries and transcripts, or knowledge base text. Claude processes it under your agreement with Anthropic.
- Maica receives only what Claude sends to its tools, not your other conversations. Call recordings are never sent to Claude.
- Phone numbers, transcripts and tokens are not written to the connector's logs.
For how Maica handles personal data, see the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.
Current limitations
- Existing agents can't be edited yet. Edit them in the Maica dashboard, or ask Claude to create a new one.
- Batch status and per-recipient results aren't available yet. Use the call list and transcripts to see how each call went.
- Batches can't be retried or cancelled through the connector yet.
- Single calls, call scheduling and billing are managed in the Maica dashboard.
Troubleshooting
- “Sign-in blocked” or “Sign-in expired” on the sign-in page: start connecting again from Claude rather than reloading the page. Sign-in pages expire after 15 minutes.
- “Sign in again”, “was revoked” or “has expired”: disconnect and connect again. In Claude Code, run
/mcpand choose Authenticate. - Calls fail with a credits error: check your balance with
get_accountand top up in the dashboard. - A phone number can't be used for a batch: it must support outbound calls. Ask Claude to list your phone numbers to check.
- Still stuck? Email [email protected] with the time it happened and the error Claude showed.
